Wireless Speakers for TVs
For those looking to enhance the sound of their TV.
Non-portable wireless speakers for TVs include soundbars and home theater systems that offer wireless input connectivity. In most cases, this is a Bluetooth or WiFi connection. For multiple speaker systems, the wireless connectivity extends to the speakers, meaning reduced or no speaker cables. The technology for speakers to be completely wireless is still fairly advanced so you won’t find this kind of system for less than a few hundred dollars. In most of the cheaper systems, the rear surrounds will connect to a satellite decoder/receiver via speaker cable. Only the advanced high-end home theater systems will have independent wireless connectivity to each speaker.
Wireless Speakers for TVs could mean wireless on the input or output end. Most Wireless Speakers for TVs offer a wireless input but not many connect wirelessly to replace speaker cables and of course, you will still need a power cable. Therefore, no “wireless” speaker for TVs is ever completely wireless, as it needs to plug into a power source, and below are some of the best wireless speakers for TVs.

If you want a wireless TV speaker with some bass, then you might be underwhelmed with the TaoTronics 36-Inch. Wohome S9920 Wireless TV Soundbar
The Wohome S9920 Soundbars are popular wireless speakers for TVs. The soundbar houses a total of 6 speaker drivers, delivering a total of 80W. Wohome has rated the S9920 Soundbar as having a 40Hz to 20kHz frequency response however, it does seem to lack in those bass frequencies rolling off at around 200Hz. Other than that, the S9920 is pretty loud offering decent intelligibility and clarity.
Wohome S9920 Soundbar is escorted with remote control, optical cable, stereo RCA to ⅛ inch audio cable, power adapter and wall mount kit with template
The Wohome S9920 wireless speakers for TVs are a great affordable soundbar option. For less price, you can get a decent 80W soundbar. The only downside with the Wohome is that you don’t have the option of adding a subwoofer. The speaker does lack slightly in the bottom-end, but having said that, the Wohome is loud and will certainly be an upgrade from any built-in TV speakers.
Wohome S9920 measures 38.6 x 4 x 4.1-inches. That lengthy body weighs about ten pounds, which is light enough to allow for some simple wall mounting options. it. Though it’s not necessary to mount this soundbar. The bottom side has a pair of rubberized feet, which make it possible to install it by simply placing the S9920 on the floor.
Those feet aren’t only made to stabilize the soundbar or prevent it from tipping over. They also help keep its large vibrational body from creating a disturbance through vibrational contact. That can be important for not transmitting sound through floors and ceilings, and it can even have a marginal impact on audio quality.
One more thing to note is the power button on the backside, which is something many soundbars tend to overlook. But it can be more important when you’re dealing with a technology like this, which can move between wired and wireless operation.
Enclave Audio CineHome Wireless 5.1 Home Theater
The Enclave Audio CineHome Wireless 5.1 Home Theater is what’s considered to be a “true” wireless home theater system nevertheless, wireless speakers for TVs. Sonos Playbar TV Soundbar – (Wireless Speakers for TVs)
The Playbar is Sonos in a soundbar– with a couple of little caveats, that’s as good a proposition as it seems
So should you by a Playbar at all? Well if what you’re after is simply great movie sound there are perhaps better options, such as the Yamaha YSP-2500 which offers one of the more convincing virtual surround sound experiences available.
But if you’re looking for a simple device that will massively improve the sound from your TV (as opposed to a bona fide surround sound set-up) and give you immediate access to more music than you could ever possibly hope to listen to, the Sonos Playbar is an excellent option.
The main alternatives come in the form of other Sonos speakers; the Playbase is a sound base for under your TV rather than a soundbar, but we’re not quite as enamored with the sound, while the Sonos Beam is a more compact, excellent sounding smart TV speaker, complete with voice control. Find out more in our in-depth Beam vs Playbar vs Playbase feature.
TaoTronics Sound Bar – (Wireless Speakers for TVs)
TaoTronics 40-inch soundbar will noticeably improve on the substandard sound that comes with many modern 4K UHD TVs. Perhaps most importantly, this soundbar renders highly intelligible dialog without any gimmicks. It’s far from perfect, but it does provide appealing options with relatively little financial risk. If you’re dissatisfied with your TV’s built-in sound and are on a strict budget, then give this soundbar a look – just don’t expect it to perform any sonic miracles.
Samsung HW-T650 3.1ch Soundbar with 3D Surround Sound – (Wireless Speakers for TVs)
The Samsung HW-T650 Wireless Soundbar is an exceptional wireless TV speaker. For around such a cheaper price here, there are very few wireless TV speakers that compete with this amazing sound system. The ability to add to your system with the SWA-8500S for rear satellite speakers means you can have a complete surround sound experience. This system is an absolute must for small to medium-sized living areas.
Samsung is a well-known brand that offers many different types of products. Whether it comes to TVs, headphones, or soundbars, it’s fair to expect a good quality product with decent to great performance. For soundbars, they produce some of the best products on the market, with great audio quality and many connection options to use your soundbar as a hub for your various devices.
Wohome S9920 Wireless TV Soundbar – (Wireless Speakers for TVs)
The mounting equipment is a little pathetic, but the fact there’s any included mounting equipment at all is a cherry on top. The Wohome S9920 isn’t trying to sell you a bunch of extra features, like fantastic mounting equipment or microphones. It’s a soundbar focused on loud and affordable audio quality. The audio hardware is fairly competitive for a soundbar in this price range.
Wohome’s audio isn’t trying to replace a $1,500 surround sound setup or an expensive model like the Bluesound Pulse 2i, it’s trying to replace the kind of feeble speakers you find built inside televisions. Knowing that’s the goal its developers set out to achieve, it’s fair to call the S9920 a success, though with a few caveats in mind.
For aesthetic reasons, people often like selecting soundbars that are similarly sized to their television. The Wohome S9920 can appear a little small next to a 60” screen. But appearances aside, it delivers all the audio you’d need for a screen of that side. Which makes it a pretty good choice for someone who’s looking for a highly affordable and no-nonsense type of soundbar.
Enclave Audio CineHome Wireless 5.1 Home Theater – (wireless speakers for TVs)
If you’re looking for an affordable, wireless home theater system then the Enclave Audio CineHome Wireless 5.1 Home Theater is the best on the market. The system is listed at almost $1200 but you can get cheaper here.
Enclave’s implementation is so outstanding. You will never experience a single dropout or instance of lag with the CineHome, which is very impressive when you consider the system needs to keep six wireless speakers in perfect sync with the action happening on your TV screen. Enclave’s app is very well done, too – it even instantly reflected volume changes made with my TV’s remote.
If you want more of a home theater experience than the typical soundbar can provide, but you don’t want to deal with pulling wires through your walls or having your robot vacuum getting entangled in them because you had to leave them on the floor, this 5.1 system will deliver it. It doesn’t offer Dolby Atmos support, but it’s $1,000 cheaper than the Sennheiser Ambeo soundbar which doesn’t come with discrete surround speakers or a subwoofer. And it’s significantly more powerful than the JBL Bar 9.1 (which achieves its wireless status with battery-powered rear surrounds).
